Our Story
The Indian Youth Association of Denmark (IYAD) began with a spontaneous conversation between Soham Sali and Thejas Valluru at Rome airport. As international students reflecting on their experiences in Denmark, they envisioned a community where Indian youth could find connection, support, and belonging. Just two weeks after returning to Copenhagen, they turned that vision into action by officially registering IYAD. What started as a simple idea has grown into an inclusive platform supporting Indian students and young professionals through cultural events, mentorship, peer support, and shared experiences. Guided by a mission to empower and connect, IYAD continues to be a vibrant space where Indian youth in Denmark thrive together.
